Cape Coral Cardboard Boat Regatta 2009 : The 15th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta was held in Four Freedoms' park on Saturday April 25th. You can read more about the event at their website here. In addition to lots of events before and after, it was about 4 hours of races of all cardboard boats that ranged from amazingly effective and fast, to just plain amazing they floated (and a few did not). We anchored off shore and had a good view of the starting line, and I captured these images. Please feel free to comment. You are also welcome to download and use these, the full size copy can be downloaded by chosing "Original" then save-picture. I retain the copyright, but do this for fun not profit. I do request that I receive photo credit if any are used commercially.

Medieval Faire, Lakes Park 2009 : The Kiwanis sponsor a Medieval Faire every year at Lakes Park in Ft. Myers. Here be a few images... Should you want copies, the full resolution is available (look for "O" as in Original when you click on an impage), and should you want prints you can buy them here. I make nothing on them, they are at the cost of printing from Smugmug. When ordering, be sure to select "true color" (it will not default!) and where possible get sizes in the 2:3 ration, e.g. 4x6, 8x12, etc. to match the crop factor. Comments very welcome.

Betty Jo Is OLD! : Let's just call her "museum quality"? Well seasoned? Regardless, the night before (since we were worried if her old body would make it another day), we went to the Veranda in Ft. Myers, a wonderful place, with an outdoor area reminiscient of Commander's Palace with large trees covering the entire patio, and a large fish pond and falls so that we ate in something of a grotto.

Missing Link Band : In an event that would have Darwin questioning his Selection, On the last day of Hurricane Season, In a carefully guarded venue, behind gates of pastic, Cheered on by adoring fans so numerous that even the Corporate Controller could not get an accurate accounting.... There debuted a new band that will have all that came before wonder what they were missing. The Missing Link Band John Corning on lead, Richie Goldman on bass, Gustavo Mansilla on drums (If you order prints, I get nothing, just the print costs go to SmugMug. But please leave a comment and tell me how they came out.)

Sidney & Trey : On the 30th day of May, 2009, Sidney Elizabeth Foster was married to Thomas (Trey) Williams Comstock III. The wedding was at St. Paul's Ivy Episcopal Church, followed by reception at Veritas Vineyards. Below are some candids taken at various events. I'm not a wedding photographer, but if you like any, please feel free to download (the download button will get full resolution version), or have them printed (this web site is connected to EZ Print which will print in various sizes and ship to you -- the cost is only from the lab not me; be sure to pick either a format that is in the 2:3 proportions or 1:1 depending on photo so as not to have it crop).
